If your account has been blocked and Facebook requests identification documents (e.g., a passport), you have two options to choose from:
- Create custom documents in Photoshop that match the details of your account.
- Find someone else's passport online and submit it to Facebook.
The second option is strongly discouraged. Facebook digitizes all images into a programmatic code and stores them. This means that if the image you submit is later uploaded to the internet (which is highly likely), Facebook’s database will recognize it, and the system will reject your request for unlocking.
Creating custom passport details that align with your account is the better option. However, it does not guarantee a 100% success rate and is often a myth that it significantly increases the chance of bypassing the block.
Tip:
Before submitting an image (even one sourced from the internet), display it on your computer screen, take a photo of the screen with your phone (ensuring no reflections), transfer the photo back to your computer, and upload it to Facebook with the file name “scan.jpg.” Based on hundreds of tests, this method has been found to increase the chances of account recovery by approximately 10%.
